Towradgi Beach is around five kilometres north of Wollongong, a seaside city in the Illawarra region, and the third-largest city in New South Wales. Hang-gliding, skydiving and watersports are popular in this region, thanks to the spectacular coastline. The Wollongong Art Gallery has one of the best regional collections of Aboriginal art in Australia. Towradgi Beach is three kilometres long, and its saltwater rock pools provide fascinating exploration at low tide.
