You can also visit the nearby Champlain Trail Museum, commemorating the settler days of the Ottawa Valley. In addition to a recreation of a pioneer village, the Champlain Trail Museum features a host of artifacts including the town’s original fire engine and a replica of Samuel de Champlain’s own astrolabe.

The Bonnechere River Waterway Provincial Park makes a good day trip, offering great canoeing and fishing, as well as spelunking in the Bonnechere Caves. We're also conveniently located by Chalk River Laboratories.
